اجتمع السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم مع الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي رئيس مجلس الوزراء، والسيد السيد القصير وزير الزراعة واستصلاح الأراضي، والدكتور هاني سويلم وزير الموارد المائية والري، والفريق أحمد الشاذلي رئيس هيئة الشئون المالية للقوات المسلحة، واللواء أمير سيد أحمد مستشار رئيس الجمهورية للتخطيط العمراني، واللواء أركان حرب وليد أبو المجد مدير جهاز مشروعات الخدمة الوطنية للقوات المسلحة، واللواء أحمد العزازي رئيس الهيئة الهندسية للقوات المسلحة، واللواء توفيق سامي رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة الوطنية لاستصلاح وزراعة الأراضي الصحراوية، واللواء كرم سالم رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة الوطنية للمقاولات العامة والتوريدات.
وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بأن السيد الرئيس تابع خلال الاجتماع مستجدات الموقف التنفيذي للمشروع القومي للإنتاج الزراعي واستصلاح الأراضي في الدلتا الجديدة، في إطار استراتيجية الدولة لزيادة رقعة الأراضي الزراعية من المساحة الكلية للجمهورية، حيث اطلع سيادته في هذا الصدد على جهود تطوير البنية الأساسية اللازمة وتوفير الآلات والمعدات من وسائل الري الحديثة ومحطات المياه والميكنة الزراعية.
وأضاف فهمي المتحدث الرسمي أن السيد الرئيس وجه باستمرار التنسيق بين الجهات والقطاعات المعنية لاستكمال العناصر والمكونات الخاصة بهذا المشروع، مع مواصلة استخدام نظم الري الحديثة في إطار سياسة الدولة بترشيد استهلاك المياه ورفع كفاءة إدارتها، سعياً نحو تحقيق الهدف الاستراتيجي المنشود بإضافة مساحات جديدة من الرقعة الزراعية لمصر، بما يسهم في صَوْن وتنمية الموارد الاقتصادية الزراعية، وتحقيق الأمن الغذائي وتقليل فجوة الاستيراد، فضلاً عن إقامة مجتمعات عمرانية وزراعية وصناعية جديدة، تسهم في استيعاب الزيادة السكانية، وفي إضافة المزيد من فرص العمل وزيادة الدخل للمواطنين.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Mr. El-Sayyed El-Qusseir, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Dr. Hani Sewilam,Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Shazly, President’s Adviser for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Director General of the National Service Projects Organization (NSPO) Major General Walid Abul-Magd, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmad al-Azazi, Chairman of Watania for Agriculture and Desert Land Reclamation Major General Tawfiq Samy and Chairman of Watania contracting company Major General Karam Salem.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said President El-Sisi followed-up on the status of implementation of the national agricultural production and land reclamation project in New Delta, as part of the State’s strategy to increase the area of agricultural land.
President El-Sisi was briefed on efforts to develop the necessary infrastructure and provide machinery and equipment for modern irrigation methods, water plants and agricultural mechanization.
The President gave directives to continue intensive coordination among the relevant entities and sectors to complete the components of the project. This is while relying on modern irrigation systems within the framework of state policy to rationalise water consumption and improve water management efficiency, in pursuit of the sought strategic objective by adding new areas of agricultural land to Egypt. This shall contribute to safeguarding and developing agricultural economic resources, achieving food security and reducing the import gap. Also the establishment of new urban, agricultural and industrial communities shall accommodate population growth, offer more job opportunities and increase citizen’s income.
