اجتمع السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اليوم مع الدكتور مصطفى مدبولي رئيس مجلس الوزراء، والدكتور أيمن عاشور وزير التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، والدكتور محمد عوض تاج الدين مستشار رئيس الجمهورية للصحة والوقاية، واللواء أحمد العزازي رئيس الهيئة الهندسية للقوات المسلحة.
وصرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن السيد الرئيس اطلع خلال الاجتماع على مستجدات أعمال تطوير منطقة مستشفيات جامعة عين شمس وتحويلها لمدينة طبية عالمية في قلب القاهرة، في ضوء ما عانته تلك المنطقة لسنوات من صعوبات وتحديات، أدت إلى انخفاض مستويات الخدمة المقدمة للمواطنين، قبل أن يتم اتخاذ قرار من السيد الرئيس بتطوير تلك المنطقة وتحويلها لمدينة طبية رفيعة المستوى، من خلال إنشاء بنية تحتية طبية وإدارية جديدة ومتطورة، وتهيئة بيئة عمل جاذبة، وتجميل الموقع العام والقضاء على التجمعات العشوائية، وميكنة مستشفيات المدينة الطبية وتعميق التحول الرقمي في أساليب عملها.
وقد وجه السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي في هذا الإطار بتكثيف العمل للانتهاء الكامل من هذا المشروع القومي الكبير والمهم، وضمان استدامة التشغيل والصيانة والإدارة على أعلى مستوى، بما يحقق هدف الدولة المتمثل في تقديم خدمات طبية متميزة لعموم المصريين بشكل حقيقي وملموس ومستدام، بالإضافة إلى تطوير بيئة البحث العلمي الطبي وتعزيز دور مصر كمنارة علمية وطبية في المنطقة.
وأضاف المتحدث باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الاجتماع تطرق أيضاً إلى ملف تطوير التعليم العالي، الذي شهد طفرة كبيرة على عدد من المستويات، منها عدد الجامعات الذي تضاعف خلال سنوات قليلة من 49 جامعة عام 2014 إلى 92 جامعة العام الحالي، سواء جامعات حكومية أو أهلية أو تكنولوجية أو خاصة أو فروع لجامعات أجنبية. وفي هذا الصدد شدد السيد الرئيس على الأهمية الحاسمة لهذا القطاع في تعزيز الربط بين شباب مصر من الطلاب والخريجين الجدد مع ما يشهده العصر الحالي من تطور سريع ومتلاحق في العلوم والتكنولوجيا والاتصالات، وبحيث يساهم الطلاب المصريون بشكل فاعل في عملية إنتاج المعرفة، ويضع مصر على الخريطة الإقليمية والعالمية للتعليم العالي والبحث العلمي.
Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ayman Ashour. The meeting was also attended by Advisor to the President for Health and Prevention Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, and Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, Major General Ahmed Al-Azzazi.
Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmad Fahmy, said the President was offered an overview on work progress in the upgrading of Ain Shams University Hospitals area and its transformation into an international medical city in the heart of Cairo, in light of the difficulties and challenges this area has experienced for years, which resulted in lower levels of services being given to the citizens. This was the case before the President’s decision to develop this area and transform it into a high-level medical city, by establishing new and advanced medical and administrative infrastructure, creating an attractive work environment, enhancing the appearance of the public site, eliminating random gatherings, automating the hospitals of the medical city, and deepening digital transformation in their work methods.
President El-Sisi gave directives to exert intensive efforts to fully complete this huge and significant national project, and to ensure the sustainability of its operation, maintenance and management at the highest level. This aims to achieve the state’s objective to provide outstanding medical services to all Egyptians in a tangible and sustainable manner, improve the medical scientific research environment and enhance Egypt’s role as a scientific and medical beacon in the region.
The meeting discussed the dossier of higher education and its improvement, which has witnessed significant progress across multiple levels. This included the increase of the number of universities in the past few years from 49 universities in 2014 to 92 universities this year, whether public, private, technological or private universities in addition to branches of foreign universities. In this regard, the President reiterated the importance of this sector in strengthening the connection between Egypt’s young students and new graduates and the rapid and progressive development in sciences, technology and communications of the present time, so that Egyptian students effectively contribute to the process of producing knowledge and to placing Egypt on the regional and international map of higher education and scientific research.
